Lucy Lawless hails from New Zealand and she is a performer, actress, singer, and musician. The most notable of her work are the roles she took on in various popular television and film series including Xena Warrior Princess and Spartacus Blood and Sand. Of all the roles she played as an actor her work was praised and remembered for her amazing portrayal of Xena. Lucy played the part which was supposed to be given to Vanessa Angel. However, she couldn't attend production due to ill health. Lucy's portrayal as Xena proved to be enough successful that a follow-up production was launched in 1995. Lucy has gained a reputation as a popular actor due to the popularity that the spinoff. Lucy is not just well-known to the public as Xena but as well for her regular character as Diane Lewis Swanson on NBCs famous comedy Parks and Recreation which she played from 2012 until the year 2015.
