Her birthplace and childhood home was Spalding, Saskatchewan, she then moved to Alberta, Canada, from where she graduated high school. The actress began her acting journey at the age of a teenager. For further training in acting she went to the National Theatre School in Montreal in Canada, as well as in Moscow, the Moscow Theatre School. She was on TV in programs as "Ready to Go" as well as "Forever Knight". In the following years, she was first seen as an actress in a film at the end of 1990s with 'Papertrail. Later, she appeared in films like Men with Brooms and Cypher. She continued to appear on film throughout the year 2000, although her roles were smaller than those in her television roles.
